Artist Pavilion for Paul Pfeiffer (2010)

A pavilion for video artist Paul Pfeiffer to be included in the hypothetical 2010 Expo. Pfeiffer’s work deals with digitally erasing athletes and celebrities from video footage. The resulting films show a flicker of space where the person once stood; the attention now drawn to a bouncing basketball or the cheering crowd. As expo attendees explore this pavilion and Pfeiffer’s work inside, they become part of an art exhibit themselves. Viewers outside the pavilion catch glimpses of the people inside as they walk around. The effect becomes a real-life animation for those inside and outside. (G1 year)
